Introducing the next chapter of Forward Action: a brand built for change

This year, we’re celebrating a major milestone – Forward Action is turning 10! With a decade of growth and learning behind us, we’re thrilled to unveil our new brand.

Why the change?

We’ve come a long way since 2015, when two former Labour digital team staffers launched Forward Action fresh off the general election. Now we’re an employee owned agency, and we’ve grown into a passionate team of 20 digital activists, working at pace to help changemakers achieve big wins.

It’s been a journey

Over the years, we’ve been privileged to work alongside incredible causes to mobilise hundreds of thousands of supporters and turn bold visions into action. Thank you to every partner who’s been part of our story so far. We want to give a special shoutout to Paul de Gregorio, founder of Rally, for being such an inspiring force in the field of digital mobilisation.

Here are just a few moments we’re proud of:

1. Turning quizzes into catalysts with ONE: We still can’t quite believe that over a million wanted to take a quiz about geography, but they did for the ONE campaign, and we proved that engagement can spark from the most unexpected places.

A screenshot of an online quiz from ONE with the heading 'How well do you know your African geography?'. The viewer can identify the African country highlighted on the map, choosing between Zimbabwe, Chad, or South Africa.

2. Creating a force for change with Refuge: In our five years working together, we’ve helped Refuge to build a digital programme that has brought together fundraising and campaigning, and helped them to power real change for women who are experiencing domestic violence.

3. Building movements with Dignity in Dying: Starting from scratch, we created an Official Record of Support for law change, which has powered a programme that now mobilises tens of thousands of supporters to regularly engage MPs and push for legislative change – and we’ll be with them every step of the way as they push for law change this year.

On the right, the copy reads: OFFICIAL RECORD OF SUPPORT FOR ASSISTED DYING - ADD YOUR NAME "I know that I am going to die... but I am terrified of how my death will be." Jan has terminal cancer. When the time comes, she wants the choice to die with dignity, peacefully at home. But instead, the UK's current law against assisted dying will force Jan - and thousands of terminally ill adults like her - to suffer against their wishes. Together we can change that. Join the biggest ever public record of support for assisted dying and show politicians it's time for compassionate assisted dying laws, now. 614,004 people have already added their name. Will you help us reach 750,000?

4. Reimagining supporter journeys with Oxfam: In recent years we’ve built a powerful partnership with Oxfam where we’re helping them to break down barriers, and inspiring supporters to find their own way to join the mission to end poverty.

The richest 1% can’t keep being allowed to get richer. People around the world can’t keep sliding deeper into poverty. Add your name now if you agree a fairer, more equal world is possible.' Below is additional text explaining the inequality crisis as being caused by an unequal system benefiting the privileged few, urging collective action to push for change. On the right side of the banner, there is an illustration of a smartphone displaying the phrase 'Climate Crisis' with an image of a protester raising a fist. A button below the image reads: 'Download your FREE ebook now.

Our mission

The world – and the challenges our partners face – has changed dramatically in the last ten years. The problems are bigger, the tide of progress has turned, and as a sector of change-makers we need to galvanise the public with big audacious actions more urgently than ever.

Our brand refresh reflects our commitment to keep evolving and pushing for real change. We’ve updated our mission to better capture the future we’re fighting for.

Our mission:

To help change-makers turn bold ideas into real-world wins, faster. By unlocking the full potential of digital, we’re building stronger, broader, and more sustainable supporter bases to power lasting change for all.

A bold new look

Our new brand is designed to reflect our name and our purpose: Forward Action. With bolder colours and a new logo, we’re embracing the energy and momentum that drive us. Plus, a new website is on the way, making our mission, tools, resources, and services even more accessible. Stay tuned!

The top right corner displays a purple mug with the Forward Action logo and the tagline 'The sweet taste of progress.' Below, a section shows a purple tote bag with the text 'Rebel with a cause' and a website link. Another panel highlights a blue 'DONATE' button with a green cursor icon pointing at it. In the center-right, text reads 'People. Power. Progress.' with the Forward Action URL and playful arrows and asterisk symbols. The bottom row features colorful vertical stripes, a stylized 'F' overlaying an image of a woman with a microphone, and a minimal navy blue Forward Action logo.

What does this mean for you?

While our brand may look different, our commitment hasn’t changed. We’re here to support organisations in empowering supporters and driving change through digital campaigning and fundraising.

From our recent work with Dignity in Dying to help secure a parliamentary win, to helping Surfers Against Sewage smash targets for their Winter Big Give appeal, we’re proud to continue delivering impact.

If you’ve got a bold idea and want to explore how digital can make it a reality, drop us a line at hello@forwardaction.uk. We’d love to hear from you.

Here’s to an exciting year ahead. Let’s see what we can achieve together in 2025!
